Coming off a holiday weekend, work has been rough for many in the Gem State this week. The weekend after a holiday can always be tough, but despite the holiday hangover, the week is nearing the end, and another summer weekend is fast approaching. This one will feel more like summer with much warmer weather. There will be tons to do this weekend, as many events will be happening around the Magic Valley, and deciding what to do will be a tough choice.

Friday, July 11 - Level Up Your Magic Tricks

If you're looking to get your elementary-aged kid out of the house this summer, this Friday presents the perfect opportunity. This Friday at the Twin Falls Public Library, you can bring your child to learn and see magic tricks. Level Up Your Magic Tricks will be taking place at 2 PM, and magician Papa Tophi will be there to help teach your children how to do some tricks. Friday, July 11, Through Sunday, July 13 - Kimberly Good Neighbor Days

Who doesn't enjoy getting out and having some neighborly fun? There is plenty to be had this weekend in Kimberly as they will be celebrating Kimberly Good Neighbor Days Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The fun begins on Friday with a pig roast dinner and a viewing of 'The Sandlot' for a free movie night beginning at dusk. The fun will continue on Saturday with a parade in the morning, food trucks and vendors in the park all day, live entertainment, activities, and family fun. Friday, July 11 - Saturday, July 12 - 2nd Annual Mountain View Barn Flea Market

Everyone enjoys going out and shopping during the summer. There are great deals and also great local markets. The 2nd annual Mountain View Barn Flea Market will be happening this weekend, giving shoppers plenty to browse and find. The market will be happening at the Mountain View Barn in Jerome on Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM. You never know what treasures you will find. Friday, July 11 - Free Open Dance

Everyone likes dancing. It doesn't matter if you are good at it or not; when the music gets your feet going, you can't help but dance. This Friday, you will have the chance to get out and dance for free at Free Open Dance happening at Hayloft Hall, located at 243 5th Ave S in Twin Falls from 7 PM to 10 PM. When it comes to escaping the heat during the summer days, there is no better place to cool off than in a chilly theatre. This week, the Orpheum Theatre will be the place to be as they have the 'Complete Works of William Shakespeare' being performed. Before you freak out, no, this show will not last days, as it will be a comical show performing many of William Shakespeare's greatest works in a fast-paced improvisational show with plenty of audience participation. Saturday, July 12 - Dink for a Difference Pickleball Tournament

Pickleball is a fast-rising sport, and many seem to enjoy getting out and playing, especially during the summer. This weekend, you can get out and show off your skills and play, while also supporting a good cause. The first-ever Dink for a Difference Pickleball Tournament will be taking place this Saturday at 1751 Elizabeth Blvd in Twin Falls. There will be different brackets for beginners and intermediate players. The tournament will begin at 8 AM, and proceeds will go towards Encircle Rec’s adaptive recreation programs. Saturday, July 12 - 11th Annual Vietnam Veterans Ride & BBQ

We all owe so much to veterans and the sacrifices they have made for us. Odds are, everyone knows someone who has served, and perhaps is related to someone who has. It is always good to remember and pay respects to those who gave their lives for this country, and this weekend, a special event will be taking place. The 11th annual Vietnam Veterans Ride and BBQ will be happening. Registration for the ride will begin at 8 AM, with the ride beginning at 10 AM at Twin Falls City Park. A motorcycle ride will then take place through the Magic Valley, making stops to pay respect to fallen veterans, before ending back at the park for a BBQ around 12:30. Saturday, July 12 - Movie Matinee

Everyone enjoys going to the movies, especially during the summer. Not everyone enjoys how much it costs, though, and that is why seeing a free movie is the best way to go. You can see a movie for free this Saturday at the Twin Falls Public Library at Movie Matinee. It will take place at 3 PM, and this week they will be showing 'Super Mario Bros'. Saturday, July 12 - The Monkee Men

Are you a fan of the band The Monkees? If so, you are in luck as the best Monkees tribute band around, The Monkee Men, will be performing this Saturday in Idaho.
