Toy R Us Returning This Year: Will Idaho Get One?

Growing up, there were certain stores you enjoyed visiting and places that hold fond memories. For kids growing up in the 80s and 90s, McDonald's was a place you likely enjoyed going to, or perhaps you remember when Walmart was much different than it is today, and loved going down the toy aisles or looking at the fish tanks. One of the best stores to visit as a child, though, had to be Toys R Us, but sadly, kids today have been missing out on the joy of going through one of the greatest stores on the planet for a child. There is news that Toys R Us is returning, but will there be one in Idaho, and where will the closest one be for you to shop at?

Toys R Us Returning in 2025

Toys R Us holds a special place in many people's hearts, especially for certain generations that visited the store during their childhood, particularly around the holidays. Sadly, the company went out of business and all of its locations closed in 2018. After some time away, they returned to Macy's stores, which, while nice, weren't the same Toys R Us that we all remembered. Rumors began circulating earlier this year about a comeback, and it is now confirmed that 30 locations will be opening nationwide, just in time for the holidays. The stores will be on a smaller scale than what many of us were used to, but any expansion and stores are an upgrade over the last couple of years. Where will these stores be, and can you find one in or near Idaho?

Toys R Us Stores Near Idaho

Toys R Us will be opening two types of stores. There will be flagship stores that will be similar to the original stores, but there will also be seasonal holiday shops that are intended to help toy sales for the holidays and that are similar to other pop-up shops that come and go around the holiday season. While sadly none of these stores will be in Idaho, the good news is that there will be one in Farmington, Utah, at Station Park. For those who aren't familiar with the area, this is south of Ogden and north of Salt Lake City. For those in the Magic Valley, this makes the store easy to visit on a weekend or sometime close to the holidays to do some shopping for their children.

Toys R Us is planning to expand, continuing into next year, and hope is high that Idaho will make the list as one of the destinations for a future store.
