With the countdown to Christmas now at single digits, most should have their Christmas decorations up, their gifts bought, perhaps some presents wrapped, and of course, the Christmas tree should be up as well. For some, they may still need to do the things listed, or perhaps something happened, and they need to call an audible. Trees can die, money can be gone, and perhaps there hasn't been time to do anything. There is still time to shop, plenty of time to wrap, or a day or two to put up decorations. Is buying a Christmas tree still an option in Southern Idaho if you haven't gotten one yet, or if something happened to yours and needs to be replaced?

With Christmas so close, many might assume that all the lots have packed up and taken whatever leftover Christmas trees they have home or to wherever unwanted trees end up. That is not the case. Contrary to what some believe, you can still buy a tree now, and doing so will save you money. While the selection won't be as big as it once was, you can still find a beautiful tree for you and your family at a discounted price, as most lots are looking to move any inventory they have left. You could get a tree up to 50 percent off if you know where to look. Accidents happen, trees dry up and die, or perhaps you didn't want a tree, but someone in the family convinced you otherwise. There are plenty of places to go to find the perfect one for you.

If you bought a tree early in the season and it has died before the big day, some places will let you come in and pick out a new tree for free, as long as you have your receipt or you bring proof of the dead tree with you. Even still, you can save money, as most lots are significantly discounted at this stage in the season. One good place to visit is the Christmas tree lot in front of the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. Not only can you find a tree to sit around this holiday season, but the proceeds also go towards the Adult and Teen Challenge. The money raised helps those who come to their Buhl campus, which funds mental health and addiction programs for women in need. The lot is open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.

If you find out there is an issue with your tree, you decide to get one at the last minute, or perhaps you always wait until later in the season to save money, now is the time to get one before they are all gone and the lots are closed. For more on the lot in front of Grocery Outlet, make sure to click the link above. Get out and get your tree if you need one. Christmas is coming soon.
