March is underway, even if the weather doesn't feel like it currently. The weather hasn't been ideal this week. There has been snow and rain, it has been gloomy, and it has been a down week with all the overcast. With all the cold and bad weather, getting out of the house and having fun this weekend is needed. Spring is just around the corner, which means it is time to do a little spring shopping. With Easter at the end of the month and warmer weather hopefully not far away, it's time to put the winter decorations away and start getting spring ones out. Grandy's Spring Craft Show is the perfect place to shop for such decorations and is happening this Friday and Saturday at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer. The weather will be a little bit warmer this weekend than it has been the past week. It might be nice to get outside and enjoy some softball. The CSI softball team is in action at home for the first time this season. They will be playing four games against Salt Lake Community College Friday and Saturday and will bring in a 5 game winning streak into the weekend. Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 - CSI Intercollegiate Rodeo

Living in Idaho, it is a requirement that you attend at least one rodeo a year. It is not an official rule, but it should be. The CSI Intercollegiate Rodeo is happening this Friday and Saturday at the CSI Expo Center. Doors open at 5:30 PM each night, with the event beginning at 7 PM. With the weather being so unpredictable this time of year, it is often hard to make plans outdoors. Instead of going outside, how about heading to the theatre and enjoying the classic, 'Tarzan.' The show will be performed at the Orpheum Theatre this Friday and Saturday, with showtimes at 7 PM both nights. This weekend is the perfect weekend to enjoy a rock show. Don't be misled, it isn't loud guitars and drums, but a rock and gem show, being put on by the Magic Valley Gem Club. The show is taking place at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds and will be happening Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and on Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. As mentioned above, spring shopping is beginning, and this weekend there are multiple places to do so. The Magic Valley Market is a great place to check out what is available in the area. The market is happening on Saturday at Twin Falls High School, in the gymnasium, and will be taking place from 10 AM to 2 PM. Saturday, March 9 - 12th Annual Spring Fling

Easter is a few weeks away, but you don't have to wait to celebrate. This weekend the 12 Annual Easter Cantata will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 7 PM on both nights. It will be happening at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 3850 North, 3500 East. The concert will be performed by over 65 choir members and 20 orchestra members and will include over 90 pictures from various artists, representing Jesus Christ's life.
