The Magic Valley Needs to Stop Ruining the Holidays
Fall is in full swing, and it has many residents in the Magic Valley happy, as the holidays are fast approaching. When the calendar turns to October, the holiday season begins. There is Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving the following month, and four weeks later is Christmas, before New Year's rounds out the holiday season. Many get excited and have plans to travel, see family members, and friends, and decorate for the holidays. While it is understandable to be excited about the holidays, some residents are ruining them for others by doing one thing this time of year in the Magic Valley.
Decorating For Christmas in October
Halloween is still weeks away, and many residents are excited. Many have decorated their yards, have bought costumes, and are stocked full of candy already. While attention on Halloween is what everyone should be focused on, there are those in the Magic Valley who are skipping the fall holiday and already focusing on Christmas. Some have already begun putting up Christmas lights, Christmas blow-ups, and decorations all around their home. While it is many people's favorite holiday, October is too soon to be decorating for Christmas and is ruining Halloween for others in the area.
Christmas Decorations Ruining the Holidays in the Magic Valley
It is disrespectful to Halloween to be decorating for a holiday that is more than two months away. It ruins the festivities for those that are wanting to enjoy trick-or-treating and the spooky day, when there are bright festive lights up, smiling Santa Claus, and cheerful decorations. With the weather nice, it is understandable why many would want to take advantage of it and put up their Christmas decorations now before it is too cold to feel your hands when hanging lights. Once they are up though, it doesn't mean they have to be turned on, as it doesn't feel like the Christmas season, and it is not giving other holidays their due.

Christmas is still far away and there is plenty of time to get into the Christmas spirit and to enjoy the holiday, but October is too soon. Enjoy Halloween and fall while it lasts, and once the calendar has turned to November, or perhaps December, there will be many weeks to enjoy the best time of the year. Don't jump the gun and ruin other holidays when they each are special as well. Enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving, and once they have gone, then it is time to get into the Christmas spirit.
