Major Grocery Store in Idaho, WA, and UT Closing All Stores on the Same Day

Summer is fast approaching and soon school will be out and many residents of Idaho will be planning camping trips, fishing trips, hiking trips, and vacations. The weather will get warm and many will head out to the river, the lake, or the closest body of water to take a drip, get on a boat, or kayak. While the official first day of summer is still a bit away, many consider Memorial Day the unofficial start to the season. Memorial Day is often celebrated by cooking out some hamburgers and hotdogs, meaning a trip to the grocery store is in order. One popular grocery store that many enjoy visiting will be closing all of its locations on the same day, and it has customers upset and wondering why. 

Costco Closed on Memorial Day

On Memorial Day often people will need to run to the store to get hamburger buns and hotdog buns, hotdogs, hamburger meat, potato chips, condiments, and whatever else they plan on eating over the holiday weekend. Perhaps you need to run to the store and get a swimsuit or some pool toys on the years that the holiday is hot outside. One of the best places to go to get all these items in one trip is Costco, but unfortunately, if you forget anything this year, you are out of luck, as Costco has announced they will be closed on Memorial Day. This isn't the first time they have closed all their stores for a holiday this year, and it won't be the last. 

Holidays That Costco is Closed 

While Memorial Day may not seem like a major holiday to everyone, for some it is one of the most important days of the year. No matter how you view the holiday, most want to enjoy time off with their friends and family, by the pool, or out doing something fun. Costco employees are blessed to have this day off and get the opportunity to spend it how they please. There are multiple times throughout the year they are closed with the following holidays being when the store will lock its doors:

• New Year's Day
• Easter Sunday
• Memorial Day
• 4th of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day

The rest of the year they are open in some capacity.

Make sure to get to Costco on Friday or Saturday of Memorial Day weekend if you need any last minute things for Monday or to get you through the weekend.
