Police: Man Hit by Car at Shopping Center in Twin Falls
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) A man was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car in front of a busy shopping center around noon after an altercation on a nearby street. According to Twin Falls Lt. Terry Thueson, police were called to Walmart a little after the noon hour for call that a pedestrian had been hit by a sedan.
Several police cars, ambulance and fire truck were at the east entry point to the store, including a silver sedan. Lt. Thueson says there was some sort of altercation between the drivers of two cars on Washington Street before they had gotten to the store. One car with three adults, two men and a woman, parked before the other car had. The group identified as Christopher M Stephenson, 33, Jonathon Edward Meyers and Kara Lynn Fiscus, walked up to the other car and verbally challenged the driver, Amir Zuheir Saad, 25. Stephenson stepped in front of the car to prevent it from moving on and was hit.
Lt. Thueson says Stephenson was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Stephenson, Meyers, and Fiscus are facing disorderly conduct charges while Saad was cited for not having a drivers license. Lt. Thueson says it is not clear if more charges are possible.
