Magic Valley School Closures for Jan 19, 2024

Southern Idaho and the greater Twin Falls area continue to deal with travel issues due the recent storms that have passed through the Magic Valley. Over the last several days, there have been reports of multiple slide-offs, stuck vehicles, and low temperatures creating issues with getting private and public transportation vehicles started and on the roads.

Warmer temps have helped melt ice from roads and most residential streets face melting drifts turning into sludge. Plows have been working steadily over the last several days to help keep the roads clear

Replacement of the traffic light at Addison and Washington begins today at 9:30am

The traffic light that was demolished by a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning is being replaced today as well. The intersection is currently a four-way-stop. Expect even more delays while the light is being replaced, especially for north and southbound traffic.
