Don’t Miss These Events The Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Magic Valley

Thanksgiving is a major priority for many this weekend as the days are ticking away to get all the food bought, cooked, and ready for the holiday. While it will be atop the list for most people this weekend, that doesn't mean you can't try to have some fun around the stress and shopping. Some fun events are happening this weekend in the Magic Valley to help with Thanksgiving planning and to enjoy a fall weekend.

Thursday, November 20 - Saturday, November 22 - 60 Hours to Fight Hunger

While it may not be an event to attend for entertainment, it might be the most import event of the weekend. Beginning at noon on Thursday 60 Hours to Fight Hunger will begin and go until midnight at the end of Saturday. This year we are looking to get 2,400 turkeys, but also will accept cash donations, canned food items, or boxed food items. Thursday, November 20 Through Saturday, November 22 - CSI Women's Basketball

The CSI women's basketball team is off to an undefeated start and are currently 5-0. They will look to continue their winning streak this weekend as they host the Battle for the Boot. The tournament will begin on Thursday, with the CSI women's team playing at 7 PM against Monroe University. They will also play at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday as well. Thursday, November 20 - Saturday, November 22 - 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever'

Many are excited for Christmas and don't want to wait for Thanksgiving to get into the spirit. A Christmas play and comedy is a great way to help get you into the mood and to have some weekend fun. 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' will be performed this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Historic Wilson Theatre in Rupert, with showtimes being at 7:30 PM each night. Friday, November 21 - Karaoke Night

Do you enjoy singing karaoke? Do you want to get out and show off your skills this weekend and have some fun? Karaoke Night is happening at the Canyon Crest Event Center this Friday and begins at 6 PM. There will be a no-host bar and food available for purchase and the night will go until 11 PM. Friday, November 21 - Liberty Quartet

If you enjoy listening to worship music and hearing some incredible singers, make sure to not miss the Liberty Quartet this Friday in Kimberly. The quartet will be performing at 7 PM at Kimberly Nazarene Church, located at 3350 East 3750 North. The concert is free but they do ask for a love offering, and is first come first serve in terms of seating. Enjoy a night of Southern Gospel music and worship. Saturday, November 22 - Cake Decorating Class

Food is on everyone's mind this time of year and while the focus might be on Thanksgiving dishes, it is never a bad time to learn how to decorate cakes and wow your friends or family this holiday season. You can enjoy some wine and attend a cake decorating class this Saturday at Holesinsky Winery and Vineyard. The class costs $40 per person and will happen from 3 PM to 5 PM. Saturday, November 22 - Movie Matinee

Everyone seems to enjoy a move around the holiday season, and there are many good ones hitting the theaters over the next few weeks. The problem is that they can be a little expensive, and going to see a movie for free might be more in your budget. You can attend Movie Matinee at the Twin Falls Public Library this Saturday at 3 PM and enjoy a free movie. This week they will be showing 'The Fantastic Mr. Fox'. Saturday, November 22 - 1000 Springs Bingo For Guns

Everyone enjoys playing Bingo, and almost everyone in the Magic Valley enjoy guns. How would you like to play Bingo for guns?
