When Do Kids Get Out For Spring Break 2026 in Southern Idaho

If you’re a parent of school-aged kids, there are a few things you should know, like their birthdates, which school they attend, and whether they have allergies. I’m pretty good at two of those things. I only have four kids, and I mix up their birthdays almost every time I’m asked. I had a doctor’s office question whether I was their dad once because I got all four of them wrong.

Another thing I’m supposed to remember as a parent, or at least keep track of, are the days my kids do and don’t have classes at school. I was reminded of this yesterday when my kids told me they don’t have school next Monday or Tuesday. That’s when I checked the calendar and saw they were right. I also saw that Spring Break is coming up in a few weeks.

When is Spring Break in Southern Idaho

The worst part is that this happens every year. You watch movies or look at social media, and it seems like families are planning their spring break adventures well in advance. In my family, it’s more like a surprise, and the kids are just bored all day because I’m at work.

Not this year, though! I have more than a month to get the days off and make plans for some fun and exciting adventures. That doesn’t mean it will happen, but it could.

Spring break dates vary depending on where you live and the school district or charter school in charge of calendars, but for the most part in the Magic Valley, kids have off the same week in March. Some schools have days off before or after, but spring break is March 23rd through the 27th.
