Twin Falls Police and City Halls are warning that the new scam is targeting event permit applications.
Beware of a New Scam Targeting Twin Falls Permit Applicants
Twin Falls City Hall shared a News Flash on the city website and Social Media warning residents of the new scam. Some people have received fake invoices requesting payment for even applications.
If you receive an invoice you aren’t sure about, you can contact the City of Twin Falls. If you already are a victim of the scam, please contact the Twin Falls Police Department.
The City of Twin Falls didn't state how the scammers are getting the information of residents or if it is only impacting those who have applied for actual city event permits.

To help residents learn about current scams and how to avoid them, there is a special presentation at the Twin Falls Public Library this weekend with the Idaho Department of Finance. The event will cover ways to protect yourself from online scams and fraud.
