Multiple Southern Idaho Internet sources report that a bid for a brand-new retail store has been finalized, and the business will begin hiring soon, with a targeted opening approximately six to eight months away near Fillmore Street and Canyon Park Avenue, just down from the Magic Valley Mall.

News has quickly spread online throughout the Magic Valley community that a new retail home goods and clothing store will open in 2027 in a familiar location off Pole Line Road, across the street from Barnes & Noble in Twin Falls. Some locals report seeing signs advertising for positions, but no definitive opening date has been announced.

After years of rumors, it appears Twin Falls will soon have a Burlington store in the old JoAnn Fabrics building near Sierra, according to Meta. A Tuesday (September 15) comment chain has been very active on Magic Valley Rants and Raves regarding the news as well, with dozens of locals weighing in. The company's store location page doesn't list information about the opening to date.

Initial reactions from the community ranged from surprise and excitement to apathy and sarcasm.

'Trader Joe's would be better,' said one local on the Magic Valley Rants and Raves page.

'Yeah! I love Burlington, said another area resident.

The future Burlington location is in a busy shopping center that includes businesses like Sierra, Wilson-Bates Appliance and Furniture, and McDonald's.

While the reported Burlington opening is still several months away in a new calendar year, I think anytime people have more choices for clothing, it's a good thing.
