
Cooler Weekend Magic Valley Temps, Warm Welcome For Fall
A low-pressure system has slowly moved through southern Idaho over the past 24 hours, bringing breezy conditions with brief periods of moisture. Heavy rain fell on the region Wednesday evening into Thursday, with skies clearing in the afternoon.
Friday will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler, with clouds increasing overnight and a chance of scattered rain into Saturday afternoon, according to myforecast. Temperatures will also be above average as we enter fall next week.
The Magic Valley will enjoy fall-like conditions this weekend before the season transitions on Tuesday, September 22.


Average Magic Valley daytime temperatures through Sunday will be 73 degrees. Highs next week (through Friday) will average 82 degrees, with the warmest day expected to be Wednesday; the high for the first day of fall (Tuesday) will be 80 degrees, according to myforevcast.

Conditions should be ideal for area events like the Lost N Lava Cowboy Gathering at the Lincoln County Community Center and Fairgrounds in Shoshone. The celebration features live music and local vendors beginning at noon on Friday and running through Saturday evening.
Tubbs Berry Farm, Corn Maze, and Pumpkin Patch in Twin Falls opens Friday, September 18, for the season. They offer hay rides, visits with the animals, acres of pumpkins, the maze, and many other activities.
Next week's warm weather will end on Saturday as another low-pressure system passes through southern Idaho, eventually dropping temperatures into the sixties with showers by Sunday.
