Christmas is almost finally here and the long anticipation is nearly over. The final preparations need to happen. Presents need to be wrapped, perhaps some last-minute things need to be purchased, and food needs to be prepared. There is still much to do, and the fear of something going wrong creeps in from time to time. One of the worst fears for many is having their Christmas tree die before Christmas, making it a fire hazard and less pretty. If your Christmas tree dies before Christmas day, what should you do with it and what options do you have in Idaho?

Having your Christmas tree die before Christmas is not ideal. It is something that shouldn't happen but does from time to time. You may not know what options are available to you or what to do if this happens. You could stick with the dead tree and hope it doesn't cause a fire and that it holds up for a few more days, but that isn't ideal and can have dire consequences. You could dispose of it and go without a tree this Christmas, but the day would feel less like Christmas and would ruin the day. There are some options available that you may not be aware of.

Depending on where you got your tree, will dictate what your options are. If you chopped one down, you can get another permit and go get another tree. This option is available even if you purchased a tree the first time. If you got your tree from Lowe's you can call them and they will let you come in and get a new tree. You can take a picture to show them or bring the tree with you. The only negative is that you are limited to what is left, and this close to Christmas the options are limited. You can toss the tree out and purchase a new one from somewhere else, but when getting a free one is an option, this seems like the least likely way to go.

It is nice to know there are options available and that if your tree needs replaced there are places that will allow you to swap them out. Nobody should be without a Christmas tree this holiday season. While it isn't needed to enjoy the day, it doesn't feel like Christmas without sitting around a tree, opening presents, seeing all the ornaments and lights, and smelling the tree on the big day. If your tree has died, you are running out of time, but you can go out and get a new one and trade it out before it is too late.
