The newest Wayans Brothers' horror spoof is just days away from opening at theaters nationwide. Forever linked to the film franchise is the sinister anniversary of a true southern Idaho murder case involving a pair of friends who were inspired by the horror flick to kill an innocent classmate nearly 20 years ago.

Idaho is no stranger to high-profile murder cases. Lori Vallow Daybell and Bryan Kohberger are perhaps the two biggest names associated with murder cases in Idaho's judicial history. There's another true story that took place on September 22, 2006, in Pocatello, Idaho, that also reached a level of international infamy for its brutality.
