When it comes to properly apologizing, certain phrases work better than others. The most successful way to word an apology, according to the survey, is to say, 'I take full responsibility for my mistake, and I'm truly sorry.' Admitting you were wrong and how apologetic you are, goes much further than saying, 'I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused.' According to the survey, if you use the first phrase, 47.5 percent of people will accept your apology, whereas only 6 percent will accept the second phrase.
