
Tipsy Teen Shoots Self Accidentally Fleeing Idaho Police
Police in southwestern Idaho had an interesting Thursday morning after an alleged intoxicated teenager shot himself in the leg while running from officers. The incident involved a motorist on Front Street in downtown Boise.
A self-inflicted, accidental shooting in Boise in the early morning hours of June 4 resulted in several charges being filed against a 17-year-old male who reportedly exited an automobile with five other occupants inside and fled on foot into a parking garage before shooting himself in the lower body, according to details shared by Idaho News 2.
No details have been released regarding the current condition of the teenager.

Initial reports were that the shooting victim sustained 'non-life threatening' injuries, according to Idaho News 2. Never operate a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Motorists in Idaho do not have to voluntarily admit to having a firearm in a vehicle unless they are specifically asked by an officer, according to Gifford's Law Center To Prevent Gun Violence. Those age 18 and over do not need to have a concealed weapons license present inside a motor vehicle while transporting a firearm either, according to the GLCPGV website.
When leaving Idaho with firearms inside the vehicle, it's best to research state laws regarding the transportation of guns (loaded or unloaded) within a motor vehicle to avoid potential issues.
