Hoping For Snow? Solider Mountain To Have Pray For Snow Party
Thanksgiving is this week and that means winter is upon us. With winter comes skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and of course to do those, you need snow. While Idaho never seems to lack snow in the winter, just to be on the safe side it is best to pray for snow, to do all these fun activities that make winter such a fun season.
Solider Mountain will be hosting a "Pray for Snow" party Saturday, December 4, at the ski resort. The resort is located at 1043 N Soldier Creek Rd Fairfield, ID 83327 which is about 90 minutes from Twin Falls. There will be free food, live music, s'more making stations, games, prizes, a cash bar, and a huge bonfire to make sacrifices in; they ask that you not throw in anything living. So no sacrificing your spouse or children. The event will be held from 5 PM until 7:30 PM.
The event will officially kick off the winter season and there will be an opportunity to purchase your season pass at 10 percent off, but you must be present at the event to get the discounted price. Season passes for adults will run around $449 for the season, so don't miss your chance to take advantage of this one-day, in-person deal to get yours for less than that.
One new thing this year that they will be doing is the lighting of the Giant Solider Tree. No, they will not be setting it on fire; the tree will be wrapped with Christmas lights and decorated for the holidays. It should be a beautiful sight to see. Jump in your truck, car, van, or vehicle, head to Solider Mountain, and enjoy a fun night as people pray for snow, eat, drink and enjoy a fun time.
