After being on the infamous Las Vegas strip for the last 34 years, The Mirage has announced that they will be closing for good this summer. The doors will close for the final time on July 17, marking the end of one of the most unique and popular hotels in the country. The hotel is famous for having a volcano in front that would put on shows throughout the night. The hotel is also home to the popular and famous Siegfried and Roy show, with their white tiger. They are home to a waterfall in the casino, as well as beautiful waterfalls flowing in the pool. The hotel is well located, being in the middle of the strip, and plays host to Cirque du Soleil: Beatles Love.

The hotel will be shutting things down, with a severance package of around $80 million to be distributed to the employees currently working at the hotel. The building will be rebranded as Hard Rock Las Vegas and is set to open in 2027. This new hotel will offer entertainment, innovation, and world-class hospitality. No word has been given yet on what exactly the hotel will keep and change from the current building if anything.
