The Magic Valley has experienced significant growth over the past few years. New eating options have come into town, entire new neighborhoods have been built, and even new entertainment has moved in. While many clamor for more entertainment in the area, the problem is that when it finally arrives people fail to support it to have it stay around long term. One business in the Magic Valley that many were excited about is now close to closing and needs help from the residents in the area.

For years the Twin Falls Zoo seemed like a rumor, as animals were seen around town at schools and businesses, and the rumors of a zoo in the mall grew and grew. After a lot of funding, hard work, and adjustments the zoo opened to big fanfare and residents loved it. Odds are you or someone in your family has been to the Twin Falls Zoo in the Magic Valley Mall at least once. It is a great place to take your children, to interact and see some incredible animals, and to even adopt some and bring them home to join your family. While the excitement of being new has worn off and always was going to, the hard part is keeping things flowing to keep the animals fed, the lights on, and everything running on a daily basis. The zoo is struggling at the moment and is in need of help, and you can help these animals, and the entire zoo remain open.

The Twin Falls Zoo is currently behind on their utilities and while the zoo will likely see an uptick in sales with school out for the summer, they need help sooner rather than later. They currently have a GoFundMe that you can go to and help them out. Their goal is $50,000 and they need $3,800 for utilities and $12,500 for labor this month. If they are unable to raise the funds the zoo could close soon, devastating many in the community and raising questions about what is next for the animals. The zoo has been a great addition to Twin Falls and would be a blow to children in the area, animal lovers, and all who like to get out for a fun afternoon.

Take your children, and your grandchildren, or go for an afternoon and check it out if you haven't been in a while. Hopefully, the Twin Falls Zoo can raise enough funds and remain open moving forward.
