8 Fun Events the Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Magic Valley

The cold weather has arrived, and many want to stay indoors on weekends. This weekend the weather shouldn't be terrible, but with it potentially being wet, many residents in the Magic Valley will prefer to stay indoors. Despite the weather, and despite the stress of getting ready for the holiday next week, there are some fun events to get out and enjoy this weekend. Thursday, November 21 - Saturday, November 23 - 60 Hours to Fight Hunger

The holidays are all about giving, and the Magic Valley has a history of stepping up and giving when it is needed. The annual 60 Hours to Fight Hunger event is happening this weekend, and any donation helps. You can donate a turkey, canned foods, or money. Thursday, November 21 - Sunday, November 24 - 'Little Women: The Musical'

The Magic Valley is home to some incredible plays and musicals, and this weekend will offer the chance to see one as 'Little Women The Musical' will be performed at the Orpheum Theatre. The show will take place on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 PM on Sunday. Tickets start as low as $17.50. Thursday, November 21 - Saturday, November 23 - 'Best Christmas Pageant Ever'

There are some classic Christmas plays and musicals, and one of them will be performed this weekend at the Historic Wilson Theatre in Rupert. 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' will be performed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with shows happening at 7:30 PM all three nights. Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23 - CSI Women's Basketball

This is one of the best times of the year for sports, and seeing a live game is always the best way to go. The CSI women's basketball team is in action twice this weekend, giving you two chances to catch a live game. They will be hosting the Coca-Cola Invitational this weekend, which will include a game at 5 PM on Friday and a game at 5 PM on Saturday. Friday, November 22 - Turkey Carnival Bingo

Who doesn't enjoy playing Bingo? This weekend you have the opportunity to play and enjoy a delicious meal as well. Turkey Carnival Bingo will be happening this Friday at the Filer Fire Department, located at 100 Hwy 30. Dinner will begin at 5:30 PM, with Bingo starting at 7 PM. Dinner will include chili, chili dogs, hotdogs, pie, coffee, soda, and water. There will be 20 games of Bingo played. Friday, November 22 - Girl's Night Out Bread-Making Class

All women need a night out with the ladies from time to time, and this weekend will offer a chance to do so with a girl's night out bread-making class. The event is a ticketed event, with limited spots left. It is $55 per person and will be happening on Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM and will be happening at Table & Vine Co. in Kimberly, located at 3112 N 3395 E. After a long week of work, everyone could use a laugh to lighten the mood and start the weekend right. This weekend you can enjoy comedian Christopher Titus at the Orpheum Theatre. Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23 - CSI Men's Basketball

The women won't be the only team in action this weekend, as the CSI men's basketball team will also be hosting a pair of games, also on Friday and Saturday. It will be a part of the Coca-Cola Invitational. The games will be at 7 PM both nights, with the men playing Western Nebraska Community College on Friday, and Northeastern Junior College on Saturday.
