What Should Be the Next Food Chain in the Magic Valley?

Big things are happening in the Magic Valley in 2026. Some major food chains that have long avoided the area will finally be opening, with split feelings among the communities. Raising Cane's is set to open at the end of January, In-N-Out is beginning to take form and could be open sometime near the end of the summer, and Panera Bread is coming along and will be open sometime this year as well. With so many chains finally coming to the Magic Valley, the expectation is that others will eventually follow and call the area home. With these major food chains set to open in 2026, what food chains does the Magic Valley want to see next in the area?

Cracker Barrel in Twin Falls

This one has long been desired by the community and makes too much sense not happen. When you think of the Twin Falls and Magic Valley community, a restaurant with a shop, a big porch with rocking chairs, and meals that rival what Grandma used to make, it is a match made in heaven, yet it has not happened yet. Cracker Barrel in the Magic Valley would thrive and likely be one of the most popular restaurants in the area.

Dunkin' Donuts in Southern Idaho

There are rumors that Dunkin' Donuts could finally be coming to Idaho, albeit in the Boise area. If this does come to pass, then how long until the donut chain expands throughout the state? Twin Falls would be near the top of the list for a destination, one would think, and would be a great addition to the area.

Popeye's Returning to Twin Falls

Unlike others on this list, Popeye's has been in Twin Falls before, but with other restaurants having returned with success like Chipotle and Papa John's, could Popeye's give the Magic Valley another try? The population has grown since their last residency in the area, although the chicken competition has grown as well. Popeye's may look at trying Twin Falls again, and look for a different location than previously this time.

The Cheesecake Factory Coming to Twin Falls

This one is unlikely to happen, but how would the area support and feel about The Cheesecake Factory? It would allow for some fine dining for a date night or company parties, a place to grab a drink, and a place to get some delicious dessert as well. With a variety of food options and choices, there are many things to try on the menu that would keep customers coming back. The negative is that it may draw attention from other places and force a few in the area to shut down, but to some, it may be worth it. 

BJ's in Idaho

BJ's is not currently in Idaho, but it would make for a great addition to the Gem State, especially in the Magic Valley. With many enjoying a beer after a hard day at work or a hard week, the brewery would offer some great options to locals, as well as offer great food, like their deep-dish pizza. Similar to The Cheesecake Factory, they have a variety of options on their menu, and would be a great place to go to on a date night or for a company event. 

Krispy Kreme in Twin Falls

Similar to Dunkin' Donuts, another donut shop in the Magic Valley would not be a bad idea. Unlike Dunkin' Donuts, there is already a Krispy Kreme in the Boise area, meaning there is room for expansion in the state. The introduction of the popular donut chain could hurt local shops, but many residents would enjoy fresh Krispy Kreme donuts in the area.

These are only a few chains that would be wise to contemplate moving to the Magic Valley, and that residents have expressed wanting in the past. They are not the only ones that could move in, though. While many enjoy eating at local places, food chains see the rise in population and will continue to move into the area. Which food chains would you like to see come to the Magic Valley?
