
Fundraiser On For South Idaho Boy Who Drown At Hot Spring
An online fundraising account has been established for a young boy who drown at a southwest Idaho hot spring facility on June 20. The victim was with family at a public thermal pool in Featherville, 60 miles northeast of Mountain Home, when the tragic accident occurred.
Over 250 donations have poured in to the GoFundMe account of Everett Newby, the 12-year-old who drowned at Trinity Hot Springs last Saturday. Medical staffers at St. Luke's Hospital attempted to revive Everett, but were unsuccessful, according to details shared by KTVB 7 News.
The GoFundMe page has raised over $16,000 since going live on June 24. A goal of $24,000 has been set to help with medical and funeral expenses.

The boy's family traveled roughly 100 miles over the weekend to the hot spring resort that offers lodging, yoga and wellness retreats, and swimming.

The tragic incident occurred around 6 P.M. on Saturday, according to KTVB. It's not known whether or not the boy had an accident, or was conscious, when he slipped beneath the waters of the resort. Police are still investigating the matter and have spoke to those who were with the victim when the tragedy unfolded.
