Don’t Miss These 5 Events This Weekend in the Magic Valley

Another week is coming to an end, and many have their eyes on the weekend to take their mind off work, school, or whatever stress they have going on. Staying at home can always be nice, especially this time of year, but why stay inside and be bored, when you can get out and have some fun? There are a few events taking place this weekend in the Magic Valley that you won't want to miss and should get out and enjoy. While not much is happening this weekend, other than the Super Bowl, there is enough to get out and have some fun.

Friday, February 7 - Sunday, February 9 - Southern Idaho Home & Garden Show

If you are looking to do some upgrades around the house, this is the weekend for you as everyone will be under one roof you need for any project around your home. The Southern Idaho Home and Garden Show is taking place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the CSI Expo Center. The show will be from 10 AM to 7 PM on both Friday and Saturday and from 10 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. Admission is $5 for those who are 12 and older. Thursday, February 6 - Saturday, February 8 - 'Mama Mia'

With the weather being so unpredictable this time of year, it is best to find events indoors, and what better way to spend a weekend evening than by enjoying a live musical? This weekend 'Mama Mia' will be performed at the Historic Wilson Theatre on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Showtimes will be at 7:30 PM each day, and tickets start as low as $15. Saturday, February 8 - Sweetheart Blooms! Valentine's Day Floral Colors Class

With Valentine's Day happening next week, if you are looking for something to give someone special, perhaps you want to give them a painting you made just for them. You can work on your artistic skills this weekend at Sweetheart Blooms! Valentine's Day Floral Colors Class. The class is put on by the Magic Valley Arts Council and will be happening on Saturday from 10 AM to noon and costs $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Saturday, February 8 - Youth Art Class: Valentine's Day

While you are painting, so can your children by attending the Youth Art Class: Valentine's Day. This class is for those who are 18 and under and is free. It takes place at the same time as the class above, from 10 AM to noon at the Magic Valley Arts Council in Twin Falls. Saturday, February 8 - Movie Matinee

Watching a movie with the family is always fun, but it is more fun to get out of the house and go see a movie instead. With movie prices being so high though, why not save your money, and go to Movie Matinee at the Twin Falls Public Library, which happens to be free? The movie is at 3 PM and this weekend they will be showing 'Transformers One.'
