Get Out to These 6 Events in the Magic Valley the First Weekend of April
It is hard to believe that three months have passed and the calendar is reading April. The year is flying by, but the good part is that winter is getting further in the past, and spring has arrived. This weekend will be the first of April, and while there isn't as much to do as other weekends, there is still plenty to get out and have fun. Here are the events taking place this weekend in the Magic Valley.
Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5 - Roald Dahl's 'Willy Wonka Kids'
Not knowing how the weather will be this time of year, it is always wise to plan for something indoors when going out. This weekend head to the Orpheum Theatre and check out Roald Dahl's 'Willy Wonka Kids.' The musical will feature children aged 7 to 10 and there will be three performances this weekend. You can catch a show on Friday at 7 PM or on Saturday at 2 PM or 7 PM. Tickets start as low as $9. For more on the show or to get your tickets, make sure to click the link above.
Saturday, April 5 - 25th Annual CSI Dog Wash
Do you have a filthy dog? Perhaps you dread bathing it as it can always be a chore. Well, you don't have to. Take your furry, dirty dog to the 25th Annual CSI Dog Wash this weekend and help a good cause. The event is happening at CSI at the CSI Vet Tech Clinic this Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. It is $25 to have your dog washed, $10 for a nail trim, and $1 for a microchip check. All the proceeds will go towards the CSI Vet Tech Club. For more on the event, make sure to click the link above.
Saturday, April 5 - Fruit Culture Management
Have you ever tried planting a fruit tree? Did it die? Have you always wanted to but not sure if you could help it grow and thrive? If so, then you will want to attend Fruit Culture Management this weekend at the Twin Falls Public Library from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. The class is free and will be led by Master Gardeners. They will teach you how to help your fruit trees grow. They will teach you the best practices, and the best trees to plant, and answer any questions. Saturday, April 5 - Movie Matinee
Going to the movies is a joy, but with prices going up, it sometimes isn't worth it. Instead of spending your hard-earned money on a movie at the mall, how about going to Movie Matinee at the Twin Falls Public Library? The movie is free and starts at 3 PM. This week they will be showing 'Arctic Dogs.' For more on Movie Matinee, as well as other events at the Twin Falls Public Library, make sure to click the link above.
Saturday, April 5 - Jordan Shawn at Holesinsky Vineyard and Winery
There is something about live music that makes a weekend better. The only thing better than listening to live music is enjoying a glass of wine. Head on out this weekend to Holesinsky Vineyard and Winery and listen to Jordan Shaw this Saturday from 4 PM to 7 PM. He will entertain the crowd with 90s country with a modern twist. Sunday, April 6 - Sunday Brunch with Cidermosas
On weekends it is easy to sleep in without having to get up for work, and often many of us sleep past breakfast. Instead of waiting until lunch, how about having brunch this weekend? You can enjoy Sunday Brunch with Cidermosas at Cedar Draw Cidery in Buhl, located at 20305 HWY 30. Brunch will be happening from 10 AM to 2 PM and the food will be prepared by MV Food Dude. Don't stay home and be bored when you can get out and have fun this weekend. Go to a musical, enjoy brunch, listen to live music while sipping wine, go to a movie for free, learn how to manage fruit trees in your garden or yard, or take your dog to get washed. Whatever you decide to do, have fun, be safe, and enjoy your weekend.
