Chris Young and Lauren Alaina have teamed up for a new duet titled "Town Ain't Big Enough," which will appear on Young's upcoming studio album.

Young co-wrote the breakup anthem with Cary Barlowe, Corey Crowder and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, who also contributed background vocals on the track. The lyrics depict the aftermath of a relationship that leaves the former lovers in the awkward position of having to still live in the same small town, where they find they can't escape each other.

"This town ain’t big enough / Your friends and mine run into each other all the time / Seems like there ain’t no place to run / This town ain’t big enough for both of us," the chorus rings out. Young takes the first verse, and Alaina joins him for the chorus before taking the second verse for herself. Her high-octane upper range offers a perfect complement to Young's rich baritone, providing an alluring vocal blend.

The pair surprised fans during the 2019 CMA Fest at Spotify House at Blake Shelton's Ole Red bar in Nashville, where they revealed the collaboration and performed the duet for the first time.
