Carrie Underwood: ‘I Just Hope I’m Making My Boys Proud’
Being a working parent is never easy, but Carrie Underwood hopes she's making her children proud every time she steps onstage. On Instagram, the country superstar shared a sweet behind-the-scenes photo from her current Cry Pretty Tour, along with a heartfelt note about her family.
Underwood's Instagram post features a photo of her husband, Mike Fisher, holding their older son Isaiah on his shoulder backstage at Underwood's recent show in Wichita, Kan. Both are looking toward a brightly lit stage—the picture doesn't show Underwood, but she's up there—intently watching their wife and mom, respectively, do her thing.
"One of my favorite things about the #CryPrettyTour360 is having my family out on the road with me," Underwood writes. "I just hope I’m making my boys proud of their mama."
Isaiah, who turned 4 in February, has been spending plenty of time on the road with his mom this year; as has his younger brother, Jacob, who was born in January. She began her Cry Pretty Tour in May, and recently resumed the trek after taking a brief summer break. The tour is currently scheduled to run through the end of October.
In addition to her tour, Underwood is keeping busy preparing to host the 2019 CMA Awards in November. It'll be her first year without longtime co-host Brad Paisley, who is being replaced this year by special guest co-hosts Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.
