A lot has changed around Twin Falls over the last several years, and it seems like there are fewer major light displays around the area. But there are still some spectacular displays for you and your family to check out. Here’s a quick list of some of the best Christmas light displays in Twin Falls and how to find them.

Orton Botanical Garden

The lights at Orton Botanical Garden have always been a favorite of mine. Depending on the weather, you’ll want to layer up as you walk through this display. This is a private display that is offered free of charge, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person or $15 per family. The money is used to help support the garden as well as the annual display.

Grandview Drive - Twin Falls

Huge thanks to Richard Hawkes for the reminder on this one:

There's an awesome display at a private residence, just around the corner from Orton Botanical Garden on the corner of North Grandview and Wirshing Ave. This is a fun, impressive display, and word has it they serve free hot chocolate and cookies by bonfires Saturday evenings. Enjoy!

Casperson Family Christmas Lights at First Federal Park

The Casperson Family light display that used to be out by Curry Crossing on Twin View Lane has moved. First Federal now sponsors this display that has been moved to the Sunway Soccer Complex. It’s easiest to see the lights along the soccer complex from your car. The route is a straight shot on North College Road, adjacent to the soccer fields.

College of Southern Idaho

The College of Southern Idaho has a beautiful campus and CSI always does a nice job decorating for Christmas. The area outside the Fine Arts Building is decorated, complete with a lighted Christmas Tree. This display is worth taking the time to check out while you’re making your rounds.

Downtown Twin Falls

Most of the Downtown Twin Falls businesses take time to put out lights along Main Street. The Christmas Tree in the common area outside City Hall, along with the skating rink, provides a nice holiday vibe. The Twin Falls City tree will be lit on December 9, following the annual Twin Falls Parade of Lights on Main Street.

Twin Falls Living Nativity

Technically, this isn’t a light display, but it’s arguably the best Christmas display in Twin Falls. The Living Nativity is put on annually at a private residence as a community service and a food drive. The display is up for only three days in December, so you have to plan well if you want to see it.

Christmas displays we wish would make a comeback

If you’ve lived in the Twin Falls area long enough, you’re probably disappointed that the Candy Cane House is no longer sporting its fun display. And I have many fond memories of enjoying the South Hills lights over the years with family and friends. I’ll always be grateful for the time and effort these gracious people put into their displays for all to enjoy.

Did we miss anyone?

If you know of a Christmas light display around the Twin Falls area that deserves credit, be sure to email the author of this post so we can add it to our list.
