Memorial Day weekend has finally arrived and many are excited to get out and hit the river, and the lake, lounge by the pool, and enjoy some time out of school and off work. It has been a long time since a long weekend, and it is a great time to catch up on rest or to do yard work. It is also important to remember why we celebrate Memorial Day and that this weekend is about those who have given their lives for our freedom. It is a weekend to honor the military. There is a special event each year that takes place Memorial Day weekend in Twin Falls that is happening this weekend that you will not want to miss and is something you need to experience at least once.

Over the last few years an event has been happening Memorial Day weekend that is unique and special to Twin Falls, and that event is 22 Jumps. If you are unfamiliar with the event, this is where one or multiple jumpers will BASE jump off the Perrine Bridge 22 times in 24 hours. Doing it once is often too much for some, or might be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but for these brave jumpers, they will be spending an entire day doing it over, and over, and over, again. This is all to raise awareness and funds for former military that struggle with suicidal thoughts and to help prevent it. 22 Jumps is a part of using adventure sports for suicide prevention.
