According to a new survey from Mashable, American teenagers would rather take a VOW OF SILENCE and never communicate with anyone again, than go back to writing letters, using a landline, or worst of all, talking face-to-face.

A company called AWeber Communications surveyed about 1,000 high school seniors and college students and asked them how they'd cope if Facebook or their other favorite social media site disappeared.

And 18% said they would stop communicating with people COMPLETELY.

That was a more popular answer than communicating face-to-face, which only got 14% of the vote.  Writing letters to people only got 6% of the vote.

When they were asked what they'd do if their cell phones disappeared, only 6% said they'd go back to using landlines.
