More and more schools are deciding to have same-sex classrooms. Middleton Elementary school in Idaho is one of 500 schools in the nation that has decided same-sex classrooms is beneficial to their education program.

Apparently, the separation allows for tailored instruction and cuts down on gender-driven distractions among boys and girls, such as flirting. Experts also suggest that boys learn at a different rate than girls and each gender needs to be focused on different subjects at times which is easy to do in same-sex classrooms.
