When it comes to the holidays, every person has that one family member, friend, or coworker that can ruin them quickly, but according to a recent study on datingnews.com, one in four people admit to dreading spending the holidays with their in-laws. One thing the study revealed that was interesting is that 39 percent of people said that relationships can complicate the holidays. One in four people said that holiday plans cause tension between them and their partner, and one in three dread trying to figure out how to split time with extended families.
In-Laws Ruin the Holidays in Idaho
While in-laws and families can cause tension and fighting around the holiday, what are the reasons for the most tension? According to the study, 25 percent say that tension is caused by dealing with family dynamics, 21 percent is splitting time between families, and 19 percent say financial strain. While spending time with the in-laws isn't ideal, it isn't that bad, yet 10 percent surveyed said they have cried from having to spend the holidays with them. An easy solution is to miss holiday plans, and 12 percent admitted that they will skip out on the festivities this year.
