Investigation Continues After Injury Collision in Gooding County

The Idaho State Police are currently investigating an injury collision involving two vehicles, which occurred on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 7:23 PM. The incident took place at 1782 E 2900 S in Gooding County, involving a head-on crash between two local residents from Wendell.

Vehicles and Drivers Involved

A 70-year-old male was driving a 1990 Ford F250 westbound on E 2900 S when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, striking a 2016 Kawasaki Mule driven by a 67-year-old male, who was traveling eastbound. The collision occurred directly in the eastbound lane.

Response and Current Condition of the Drivers

Following the crash, the driver of the Kawasaki Mule was urgently airlifted to a nearby hospital by air ambulance. The driver of the Ford F250 did not require transportation to the hospital. The condition of the Kawasaki driver remains a primary concern for emergency services.

Impact on Traffic and Ongoing Investigation

The accident resulted in both directions of E 2900 S being blocked for approximately two and a half hours. This disruption allowed emergency responders adequate time to assist the injured and clear the debris from the scene. As the investigation into the specifics of the incident continues, authorities are working to determine the factors that led to the collision.
