The Festival of Lights Parade is an annual tradition that many families enjoy attending. While some years can be brutal with the wind, the cold temperatures, and even some snow, it doesn't stop families from the Magic Valley lining the street to see the floats lit up with Christmas lights, get free candy, free food, and other gifts as well. Of course, Santa makes an appearance as well. With all the holiday chaos, it can be easy to lose track of days and times, and missing the parade can dampen the holiday season, knowing you will have to wait an entire year to experience it again. The parade is happening soon, and you will want to mark your calendars, grab your coat, grab a chair, and make sure to line the street in downtown Twin Falls.
When is the Festival of Lights Parade in Twin Falls?
This Festival of Lights Parade will be happening this Friday, December 5, on Main Street in Twin Falls. The parade will begin at 6 PM and will include over 90 different floats this year. There will be food vendors downtown and the ceremony for the lighting of the Christmas tree. Downtown will be closing the streets early, and any cars parked on Main will need to be moved or will be towed before the parade. It is best to avoid the area as the parade time approaches. As of this writing, the temperature is expected to be in the mid to high forties when the parade begins, but it is expected to be windy, making it feel much colder outside. Dress and prepare accordingly.
