This year the Twin Falls School District leadership team revamped the personal electronic device policy. They believe that personal electronic devices have become powerful tools, and by using them in the classroom students become better prepared for the modern world. Eva Craner, Community Relations Specialist for the Twin Falls School District, says, "The goal of the district is to eventually reach a 1:1 student-to-device ration."

Students are encouraged to bring their devices but, cannot use their devices without teacher permission. The devices can only be used for learning purposes in the classroom. Students are however, are allowed to use their devices for personal business during their free time. Ear-buds are not allowed at anytime, as they may cause a safety issue.

Craner says, "As we work with our students to realize the potential of these devices we must continue to adapt so that our schools are both safe and a mirror of the modern world."
