No sooner than the post went out about Black Friday deals did the comments start to roll in about some businesses opening their doors as early as 6:00am on Thanksgiving day.  It seems that nearly everyone who commented had nothing good to say about stores opening early. I saw everything from sympathy for retail workers, to accusations of 'greedy' corporate store owners.

While I sympathize with anyone who works on a holiday, I have to say that I think most people who work in retail probably understand it's the the nature of the business. They might not be thrilled about working on a holiday but it kind of goes with the territory. And I've heard that some places give special consideration and even more pay to employees who work those shifts.

It's extremely interesting to me that nobody is speaking up and saying that they will be shopping on Thanksgiving day. But somebody must be. Retail is all about the business. If nobody showed up to shop on Thanksgiving, the stores wouldn't open... plain and simple. I'm guessing nobody is raising their hand here for fear they'll be blasted on social media.

So what do you think?  Will you be joining the early birds and shopping on Thanksgiving Morning?
