Road closures have been annoying drivers across Idaho for far too long. The last few months have seen numerous detours across the Gem State, particularly in the Magic Valley. They have been popping up unexpectedly for a while, and they have taken a toll on residents trying to go to and from work, running errands, or going to and from family and friends. It has tested patience, with many failing, but there is finally some good news. A major road that has been closed for 3 months in Idaho is finally reopened, and residents could not be more excited.

For the last three months, Pole Line has been closed going towards Filer and out towards Buhl. It caused chaos for many, as it took drivers out of their way, and caused many to add time to their drives going to and from Twin Falls, Filer, and Buhl. For those who lived in the area, it forced them to navigate a torn-up road and find different ways home on certain days. It has been a long three months, but after the wait, the road has finally reopened. Many are excited to be able to take another route home once again, and to be able to drive on a much smoother road that no longer destroys their tires, cars, and windshields from rocks.

Road construction has been dominating the summer in Southern Idaho, with many roads having been closed for far too long. Blue Lakes has been closed, Pole Line has been closed, and Eastland has been closed. Some other places have been closed for short periods of time, and others have been closed a little longer. It is nice to see a few of the projects begin to open up, and things get back to normal. With school starting back up soon, all of the projects being completed will be greeted with joy from residents.

The hope is that the road closures will be behind us and construction will likely become a thing of the past as summer break is getting near an end and fall is fast approaching. If you have continued to go through Filer and avoid Pole Line when going to parts of Filer, Buhl, or out towards that area, you can now enjoy a freshly paved and new road.
