2 Serious Accidents In Idaho On November 9th

In Gem County, there was a fatal single-vehicle crash of an unbelted driver.

A 68-year-old female from Letha, was travelling eastbound on Idaho Blvd in a 2015 Ford Explorer. The vehicle lost control, crossed the westbound lane of travel and rolled off the shoulder and into the creek.

Idaho Blvd was blocked for approximately 2 hours while emergency personnel and law enforcement cleared the scene.

Later the same day at about 5:30 PM, Idaho State Police responded to a crash west of Filer in Twin Falls County.

A 19-year-old male from Filer, was driving northbound on 1900 E in a 1986 Toyota pickup, when he came to a brief stop and failed to yield to traffic traveling on US 30. A 24-year-old female from Buhl was traveling westbound on US 30 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and collided with the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a hospital in Eastern Idaho by air ambulance. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seatbelt.

The accident required 2 hours for emergency personnel and law enforcement to clear US 30.

Accident Investigated by ISP on Friday, November 10th

Idaho State Police reported an accident that occurred in Kootenai County on Friday, November 10th just after 3 PM.

A Toyota Tundra, driven by a 29-year-old male from Athol, Idaho traveling westbound on Lancaster Road through the intersection of US 95. A 74-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho was traveling on an E-Bike in a northbound direction, crossed onto Lancaster Road, and was impacted by the Toyota Tundra.

Traffic was blocked for approximately 2 hours.

After being transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance, the 74-year-old succumbed to his injuries. The next of kin has been notified.

All incidents are under investigation by Idaho State Police.
