Major Food Company Closing Stores: Will Gem State Stores Be Among Them?

Over the last few years, many companies across America have been closing locations for one reason or another. Some places have gone out of business altogether, some close locations that are underperforming, and others close locations to try and keep the business afloat as long as they can. When news breaks that a popular retail store, food chain, or business is closing locations, many get nervous that the one they visit will be on the list. It is that time once again. A popular food chain has announced that it will be closing locations nationwide, and residents in Idaho are left asking, 'Is the one here closing'?

Pizza Hut Closing Locations

Pizza Hut is one of the most popular pizza chains in the country and has been around for decades. Odds are, you have a memory as a child of going into Pizza Hut back when many of them allowed for dining in. Maybe you got a free pan pizza for reading books in school as a child. For many, it is still their favorite pizza chain, and for others, perhaps they have moved on, but still enjoy Pizza Hut from time to time. The pizza chain recently announced that it would be closing hundreds of stores nationwide, and customers in Idaho are wondering if perhaps the location nearest to them will be on that list.

Pizza Hut Closing Locations in Idaho

For those who live in the Magic Valley and enjoy Pizza Hut, there are currently four locations in the area, with two in Twin Falls, one in Filer, and one in Jerome. With hundreds of stores closing, could one of these four be on the list? As of this writing, no stores have been identified, but it is said that locations that are underperforming, older, or not modernized are being considered. If the stores closest to you match these descriptions, then it is likely they will be one of the stores closing in the near future. If the location you visit is typically busy, up-to-date, and newer, then you likely have nothing to worry about. The decision was made to close stores after a three percent decline in sales to end 2025.
