Not everyone believes in curses, but when bad luck continues to happen repeatedly, it is hard to deny that there could be some foul play. Some places have bad luck, often people go through negative times, and there are multiple reasons these things occur, but sometimes a simple answer could be that a curse is in play. With a new year, many are hopeful for a better year, as 2024 was not kind to everyone, but could it be that a curse affected all the bad things that occurred in Idaho last year? There are signs that a curse swept through the Gem State this last year, and residents of Idaho are paying the price for it.

Over the last year, there has been plenty of negativity, especially in the Gem State. While there have been many personal bad things happening to many residents in the state, major companies and restaurant chains saw more negativity than anyone else. It brings up the question, is there a curse that is forcing all of these places to close their doors, leaving residents heartbroken? In the last year major food chains, local eating establishments, and other companies have had to close their doors in Idaho, and in some cases, they have opened to great fanfare, to close within months. It is sad to see new places last less than a year, and for others that have been an established part of communities for decades close their doors for good. 

Restaurants Going Out of Business in Idaho

Over the last year, some once-popular restaurant chains have closed hundreds, if not thousands of locations across the country, including many in Idaho. Many local restaurants have also closed, and with so many closing in a short period, some are seeking answers as to what is causing this mass closure of eating establishments. An easy answer would be to say that there is a curse on all eating establishments in the Gem State, especially those looking to open and get established. Many factors cause these places to close, with the most simple being the curse of 2020. The pandemic happened five years ago, but the effects are still being felt by many companies, especially eating establishments. The pandemic has played a factor in many things years later, such as the cost of production going up, buying products to run an establishment, employees wanting to work, and even how customers go about eating and dining out.

Yes, a curse has been sweeping across Idaho, but it has been doing so for years and continues to do so. The best way to help save these places is to get out and support them, and to encourage your friends, coworkers, family members, and even strangers to get out and do so as well. It may still not be enough, but it is the only hope for some of these places before the curse forces them to close their doors and join a growing list of places that once called Idaho home.
