Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard & Joan Jett Tour Adds Vegas Show
The biggest summer rock tour originally planned for 2020 is a go, and organizers just added five new shows including one in Las Vegas this summer.
After two years of waiting due to the pandemic, the 2022 Stadium Tour featuring Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett is set to get underway June 16 in Atlanta, Georgia. There are currently 36 dates planned, but that number might increase once the tour gets started.
Tickets originally went on sale in December of 2019, but the tour was postponed numerous times because of the Coronavirus. Five additional shows were recently added by promoters. Those new performances will take place in Toronto, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Las Vegas.
Those in southern Idaho that would like to catch the 2022 Stadium Tour in Las Vegas and see these incredible bands together will get your chance on Friday, September 9. Other shows scheduled that don't make for terrible drives for Magic Valley fans are the August 28 performance in San Diego, the August 31 show in Seattle, and the September 7 date in San Francisco.
Some of you may recall Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil played a free concert at Cactus Pete's Resort Casino back in June of 2018. I had the honor of doing a live show from the venue that evening to help promote the performance.
Many southern Idaho Motley Crue fans know the name Nikki Sixx very well. Sixx, the band's bass player, spent time living and working on a relative's farm in Jerome, Idaho, in his younger years. A mural of Sixx is painted on the wall near the entrance to Red's Trading Post in Twin Falls.
Visit the Stadium Tour website for more details on the shows.
