AI Trailer: Would Idaho Gilligan’s Island Fans Like This Film?
“I visualize a time when we will be to robots what dogs are to humans, and I’m rooting for the machines.”
—Claude Shannon
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere these days. It's used to create bogus news stories, deepfake videos, ChatGPT, and other human-simulated content. I fall victim to AI from a journalistic standpoint at least once a month.
“The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race….It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.”
— Stephen Hawking

Artificial Intelligence Is Used In So Many Ways In Modern Times And Often Fools The Public
One of the great uses of AI comes in the form of these fake movie trailers that pop up on websites such as YouTube regularly. I have no idea who makes them, but man, are they convincing.
I recently watched an AI-generated trailer for Gilligan's Island. It's the best one I've come across so far, and I think fans of the original cast would sign off on this film if it were not a figment of someone's imagination.

This modern, AI adaptation of the television series that ran from 1964 to 1967 (98 episodes) would star Jack Black, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Margot Robbie, Sydney Sweeney, and others. Gilligan's Island experienced a tremendous growth in popularity in the seventies and eighties when it aired in syndication.
I don't know what Idaho fans of the show would think about this film idea, but I'd buy a ticket.
