It’s Not Set in Stone, But Here’s When the Twin Falls In-N-Out Burger Could Open
The opening of In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls is one of the most controversial and anticipated events coming to the Magic Valley. We don’t even know when it will open and people are already complaining about it while others can’t wait for it to open.
I’ve contacted In-N-Out a few times since the restaurant was announced, asking for information. My last message hasn’t been responded to, and after watching the recent Twin Falls City Council meeting discussing the opening, I don’t think I’ll get a response until the restaurant opens.
It’s Not Set in Stone, But Here’s When the Twin Falls In-N-Out Burger Could Open
During the Twin Falls City Council meeting on July 13th, 2026, the 7 council members along with a few speakers discussed amending the previous ‘Special Event Grand Opening For In-N-Out Burger’ plan. The amendment changes the date from August 2nd to July 20th, 2026. But don’t get too excited or start lining up yet.
That doesn’t mean the grand opening will happen on the 20th, but it does seem to point to the idea that the restaurant could open earlier than expected. The July 20th date is a window of opportunity date. During the council meeting, one member expressed a desire to have a smaller window or to even know the exact date in advance so community members and businesses could prepare.
We Now Have a Potential Window For the In-N-Out Burger Opening Date
It was noted by another member that an exact date would most likely not happen due to the possibility of community members gathering early at the location to get in line. It was expressed by a few people in attendance that they hope to get at least a day notice. Specifically, the police mentioned needing time to make sure the area planned for staging cars and moving vehicles around behind the Dick’s strip mall was open and accessible.
Traffic will stage in the dirt lot next to Old Navy where traffic teams will direct the flow of vehicles behind the strip mall.

Signs will be placed along roads in the area to help direct drivers.

There will also be lighted reader signs along Blue Lakes to help direct drivers.

During the presentation for traffic control in June, beginning 26 minutes into the meeting, police said they believe we should expect heavy traffic at the location for 3 to 6 months before the excitement dies down.
Twin Falls City Council Approved Window of Dates For In-N-Out Opening
While some members of the council requested a specific date, it was debated that other businesses aren’t required to give a specific date, so they can’t require In-N-Out to do it. Grayson Stone was the only council member who voted against the amendment based on his desire to have either a specific date or a smaller window for that date.
You can watch the entire city council meeting online or just the 1:30 to 9 minute mark where they cover In-N-Out. You can also skip to the end for an interesting musical presentation from a community member who says we should stop complaining about change. Jump to an hour and 15 minutes into the meeting for that.
