UPDATED: Southern Idaho Ski Resorts Receive Over 2 Feet of New Snow Thursday

It has been a tough winter for many ski resorts in Southern Idaho. Many had delayed opening dates, and at least one has been unable to open at all. But a recent storm dropped a heavy blanket of new snow across Idaho, and some resorts have posted new totals near or over two feet.

In some areas, the snow is still falling and adding to the fresh powder. So, which resorts got the most snow?

Southern Idaho Ski Resort Reports Over Two Feet of New Snowfall

In Southern Idaho, there are 6 popular ski resorts: Sun Valley, Magic Mountain, Pomerelle, Bogus Basin, Pebble Creek, and Soldier Mountain. Many of those resorts have been posting photos, videos, and updates on snow accumulation from this latest storm.

• Pomerelle says they got over 2 feet of snow and that it was still coming down. Pomerelle also has other exciting news as they are under new ownership.
• Magic Mountain has been unable to open this season due to a lack of snowfall, and anything from this storm will likely not be enough to cover the ground enough for use. We’ll update this story if that changes.
• Sun Valley didn’t report a snowfall total, but they did post a video of their groomers out on the mountain keeping the runs nice.
• Soldier Mountain’s latest social media post states that they are closed now for the season due to dangerous weather conditions.
• Pebble Creek announced nearly a foot of snow and an update on the opening plans for the weekend. They have 38 inches at the summit.
• Bogus Basin shared that more than 15 inches had fallen and that it was still coming down this afternoon.
