Road closures and construction around Twin Falls continue this week, and a major intersection in the southeast section of the city will be closing soon.

Intersection at Hankins and Kimberly Road Will Be Closed in Twin Falls

As part of the Hankins Pressure Zone Project, another section of roadway will be closed Wednesday.

Work is being done by Extreme Excavation which will require Hankins Road South at the intersection of Kimberly Road to be closed for the majority of Wednesday. Work will begin at 5 in the morning and is expected to be finished and reopened by the end of the day.

During the road work, drivers should use the detour to get around the work. Traffic can use N 330 E and Eldridge Avenue to avoid the construction. Contact Extreme Excavation at 208-821-2868 with any questions regarding the work.

Section Of Blue Lake in Twin Falls Closed For Road Work

In addition to the temporary road closure on Hankins, a section of Blue Lakes is currently closed and will remain closed for the entire month of May. Both construction projects are part of the same Hankins Pressure Zone Project.

For the Blue Lakes closure, the lane heading north is closed and the southbound lane is open between Commercial Avenue and Canyon Street. This section of road is south of the train tracks at the Kimberly Road and Blue Lakes 5-points intersection.
