A local real estate company handling one of southern Idaho's oldest operating restaurants has made an announcement that the property is for sale.

Many Magic Valley residents were stunned to find out over the weekend that one of Twin Falls oldest and most iconic eateries is officially on the market for an asking price of $1,293,000, according to Shawn Barton-Realty's Meta page.

The Depot Grill is for sale. The restaurant, which was established in 1917, has been a local breakfast favorite for decades at 545 Shoshone Street South. The announcement was made by the real estate company on Friday, resulting in comments ranging from disbelief to shock from community members who have dined there for years.

Twin Falls Depot Grill Restaurant Is For Sale For Over $1.2 Million

I've had many meals at the Depot Grill since moving here a decade ago. It was one of the first places my wife took me to while introducing me to the city in 2016. The Twin Falls building was built in 1930 and underwent remodeling in the nineties, according to Shawn Barton-Realty. The Depot Grill boasts over 5,000 square feet, and the liquor license is included in the sale price.

An attempt to reach the current owner by phone was unsuccessful.

Let's hope the future owners take good care of the property and continue to provide the community with a wonderful dining experience.
