Year-Round Food Truck Square Coming to Twin Falls
Twin Falls Welcomes Its First Daily Food Truck Square
Twin Falls, Idaho, is on the brink of introducing a brand new dining experience to its residents and visitors alike. Slated to open in late April or early May, the city will see the launch of its first-ever daily food truck square, a significant addition to its culinary scene. Unlike the one-off and semi-regular food truck events, Twin Falls has yet to establish a permanent, year-round hub for mobile eats.
Food Truck Square Location
Situated at 1216 Filer Ave East, directly opposite the Lynwood Shopping Center, the food truck square aspires to become a daily destination for a diverse range of food truck foodies.
Visionary Behind the Venture: Cody Brehm
The brainchild of Cody Brehm, a Twin Falls area builder and the owner of Brehm Custom Homes—known for its featured builds in the Twin Falls parade of homes—this initiative seeks to enrich the local food culture. In a recent exclusive with Townsquare Media of Twin Falls, Brehm shared his vision for Twin Falls' inaugural Food Truck Square, detailing the preparations and his aspirations for the space.
Designing for All Seasons
One of Brehm's primary goals is to create an environment that supports food truck vendors throughout the year. While Twin Falls enjoys several months of favorable weather for outdoor dining, the winter months in Southern Idaho present a challenge. To address this, plans include the development of a covered and heated space that will allow for comfortable dining even during the colder months.
Operational Plans and Vendor Variety
The Food Truck Square is set to operate daily from 7 am to 10 pm, accommodating 6-8 food trucks at any given time. Brehm is in the process of organizing a schedule that will rotate vendors based on food type, ensuring a wide variety of options for patrons and preventing oversaturation of any single cuisine. While it’s too early to publish a list of vendors, Brehm assures that Magic Valley food truck favorites have expressed interest in being a part of the square on at least a semi-regular basis.
Final Touches Future Updates and Opening Date
The project is in its final stages, with landscaping, evening dining lighting, and additional amenities like cornhole being finalized. Power is also being installed so that vendors can ditch the generators in favor of a quieter dining experience. Brehm is hopeful for an opening date as early as April 27 but the date could be pushed into early May. We’ll keep you updated once a precise debut date is confirmed and you can keep up with the latest announcements and updates for Food Truck Square on their social media.
