If you know me, you know that I am a sucker for any new diet. So when I heard about the 5 and 2 diet I had to try it. I decided that not only was I going to try it  for a week or two but that my husband should do it with me. There is only one simple rule to this diet...5 days out of the week you eat normally and two days a week you only eat 500 calories.

After many hours of explaining the diet to my husband he finally agreed. Yesterday was our first 500 calorie day. I had a hard time at 2:30 and by 5:00 I was really hungry. Although after I ate my small dinner I felt fine. My husband had 550 calories but said that he would never do it again. I think it is easier to diet with you spouse but some people insist that if you both are hungry you may hurt one another.
