Movie fans across the world are still mourning the death of one of Hollywood's biggest martial arts action stars.

Chuck Norris starred in over 30 films and was so beloved that a decades-long joke chain based on his toughness still gains fresh punchlines to this day.

Chuck Norris passed away on March 19 at age 86.

Chuck Norris Once Filmed A Movie Just Over The North Idaho Border In Spokane, Washington

Chuck Norris was a legend in the film-making business. His most commercially successful film was 1984's Missing in Action.

Norris also appeared in television shows such as Walker, Texas Ranger, Karate Kommandos, and Sons of Thunder. A former Air Force serviceman, Norris was quite a decorated martial arts enthusiast, having earned black belts in karate, taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo, according to the Internet.

Around the Christmas holiday in 2004, Norris was filming action sequences in Spokane, 30 miles west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The following year, Cutter was released.

Other films shot in this area near the Washington/Idaho border include Benny & Joon, Vision Quest, and Heaven's Gate, according to Reddit. Spokane is located in eastern central Washington State.

Norris was known as an actor who was very courteous while on the set, according to The Spokesman. Chuck Norris received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1989, according to its official website.

No cause of death has been released to date.
