When Is Upside Down the Right Way to Store Things in Idaho?
When Is Upside Down the Rightside Up Way to Store Things in Idaho?
Nobody thinks that storing things upside down sounds like a good idea. Sometimes things leak even when they are right side up. This seems counterintuitive to proper storage. But there are times when the right side up is wrong.
5 Things That Are Better Stored Upside Down
While saving the last dregs in a paint can is not worth the trouble, sometimes saving an almost full can is. Paint isn’t cheap and trying to buy the same color later to cover inevitable spots that need touching up will only result in a strange leopard print wall effect. It is better to have some extra saved to use until an entire wall needs to be repainted. After covering an open can of paint with plastic wrap, then secure the lid. Be brave, and commit to the scary part. Turn it over.
Plenty of people are going all natural whenever possible. Natural nut butter is great, and plenty of people stir it, but the natural oil layer at the top is unappealing. Why not just store it upside down and never have to see the unsightly phenomenon again?
Markers come in the box with all the lids at the top. But after their first introduction to the elements, the clock is ticking. Help markers and highlighters last longer by storing them covered-tip down. The ink stays in contact with the fibers and helps prevent them from drying out.
Juice in a pineapple follows the law of gravity. To keep your whole pineapples at their sweetest, cut off the top and store them upside down. Then the juices can flow back up (down) to the top.
One of the most frustrating shower events is trying to get the last of the conditioner at the bottom of the bottle. Pounding it against the wall only gets confused calls from other people in the house asking ‘Are you okay?’ Instead of uncomfortable conversations, or risking running out of hot water trying to tap the dregs out of the bottle, just store shampoo and conditioner upside down. Some containers aren’t shaped well for that, but other containers can be purchased to transfer them into.
